Massage uses pressure to manipulate the superficial and deep muscle and connective tissue layers. Sports massage helps to relieve the tensions and strains following exercise. However, you do not need to do sport to benefit from a sports massage.

At your first consultation, which can take up to 45 minutes, a comprehensive case history is taken. This gives insight into the possible causes of symptoms and enables a bespoke treatment plan to be designed for individual needs.

Hands on treatment is necessary and will be discussed with you prior to treatment. The number of treatment sessions that you will need will depend on the presenting symptoms. This will be considered and reviewed following your treatments. It is not uncommon to have some treatment reaction which may last for 24-48 hours.

Naturopathy (often called naturopathic medicine) is a system of healthcare that works with individual's to maintain optimal health. Lifestyle, exercise, and nutritional aspects of your health will be considered. The naturopathic belief is that health is not simply the absence of dis-ease. Diet diaries may be considered and treatment may include some dietary changes, hydrotherapy and exercises. You and your lifestyle circumstances will also be acknowledged in order to effectively promote the changes you need at a pace that works for you. See the 'General Naturopathic Council' website for further information.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary therapy. It is based on the premise that points on the feet correlate to areas of the body. It is not diagnostic but can help to restore the body's balance naturally. See the 'Association of Reflexologists' website for further information.

I qualified as a reflexologist over 15 years ago. I have worked in this field since and have a special interest in reflexology that supports people with fertility or conception issues. In order to promote fertility, specific points on the feet are targeted that relate to these areas. Often a combination of therapies such as naturopathy and osteopathy are incorporated in this treatment.

At your first consultation, which can take up to one hour, a comprehensive case history is taken. This enables a bespoke treatment plan to be designed for individual needs.  A combination of modalities may be used for this treatment.
